Two scenes from the new work for solo flute "Hajime and his Red Sun" will be presented during Ómkvörnin music festival at Kaldalón concert hall, Harpa, Reykjavik.
Scene 1: "Consiousness" and Scene 2: "The River" will be performed by flutist Berglind María Tómasdóttir.
Ómkvörnin is a concert series showcasing the music of the composition students currently studying at The Iceland Academy of the Arts. The pieces are performed by students from the Academy.
The concerts will take place in Kaldalón concert hall, in Harpa cultural centre on Monday, the 22nd og May and Tuesday, the 23rd of May. On Monday there will be a concert at 6pm and 8.30pm and on Tuesday at 6pm.
Berglind Tómasdóttir is a flutist and interdisciplinary artist living in Reykjavík, Iceland. In her work she frequently explores identity and archetypes, as well as music as a social phenomenon. more info
